So I cleaned the front glass to see my floaters
My 5 gallon front glass hadn't been cleaned in months. The only way to see my floaters was to look from the top of the tank. Decided to clean the front glass. Big difference. Re: New Tank & Algae After 7 Days
I do use RO but one time I accidentally use hap tap water. No issues and that tank is actually flourishing. I would never suggest tap.

A bunch of floaters
Just a bunch of floaters among the algae. Highly attracted to the light.

New berried female in my quart jar
Great way to start off the summer. I haven't seen a berried female in at last 6 months. I just assumed the jar reached max population. Not the clearest video since I never clean the side of this jar.

Re: Snail Population Problem?
Depending on how you set your tank up and maintain it will determine what happens with your MTS population. My opinion is you will continue to see babies produced but they will never get big like the adults. They will stay small and never reach their adult age and size. Below is a link to my MTS. Th...

Cooling my Opae Ula tank
My tanks are in my garage & this one can get into the mid 80's. I prefer to keep the temps in the 70's as much as possible. I was about to clear out some of the chaeto & transfer some of the shrimp to another tank since the population is on the high side. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F-I...

Re: New Tank & Algae After 7 Days
My shrimp are constantly grazing but the algae never goes away. It's a pretty think one not just a surface algae. Just too much in all of my tanks. I don't always clear the front glass so it builds up on there. IMG_7058.jpg IMG_7057.jpg IMG_7016.jpg 64611155335__8852F3E0-FE98-4857-9972-AC544684A40E....

Re: New Tank & Algae After 7 Days
I leave my lights on for 7hrs on a timer. I've had the caulerpa for 4 months or so. I have seen some melting of the leaves where they turn transparent but growth has been good. It does seem to take a good footing in the sand. It is a full salt salinity algae but I have heard others convert it. I'll ...

Re: New Tank & Algae After 7 Days
Here's an update of where this tank is now. 5 weeks old. I've decided to keep the sponge filter in there for now. I've added some macro algae. Left wall is almost completely green & the rocks are starting to get covered in algae as well. I'm planning to add more rocks on the left side.

Re: Max Population Acheived
The lighting I believe is 6 watts and should be replaced. I have been feeding freeze dried spirulina from time to time to support the population. I think there's too many in there so the goal is to remove at least half. The macro algae is doing better due to maore waste the shrimp are creating. I'm ...

Re: Something Jelly Appeared In My Tank
Seems to be more than one in the tank. I've counted maybe 6 so far? They move around so it seems they are never in the same place the next day. I'm surprised they are in brackish water and doing well it seems.
