So, and I realize this is probably a stupid question, but what kind of population density are you going for after the split? My husband bought me a new tank and now that I'm done shuffling, am looking for new inhabitants for my old 10 gal, and was thinking of these guys...

I'd say shrimp eggs too -- my RCS did that once, drop a clump of eggs right on a plant, and that's pretty much what it looked like.

I'm trying, but the best I've managed so far is a small blur. They also live in my plant farm tank (they make for good pest snail population control), so they can be a bit hard to find. Well, the shrimp with the spot died. Green stuff shrimp still seems normal, except for the green stuff, though. Wait and see, I suppose.
