Not really, I started my tank at 1.005. Never feed them so I guess it's more or less around that salinity.

Re: Opae
Not that I've known of. If its for prevention of mosquito larvae I suggest you use those very light see through curtain material like the pic below.
Just wrap it at the tank top with elastic string or rubber band.

Re: Berried opa caught in chaeto and died
Yup, in the past, I have had one of my male oppa trapped in Cheato and gone just like that. I asked my seller he said he encountered his several times too.
So yeah, cheato should be keep under control especially when they are full of hair algae growing in them.

Aww they're such a cutie, very good shot.
I've gone pretty lazy these days to monitor my tank, they are still berries around. I guess supershrimp gave me the luxury to be lazy LoL

Re: Simply try out another tank
Thanks man. I liked the jar at first but The glass I think didn’t allow light to really poke thru if that makes sense. It’s a clear jar but at the same time it’s a jar designed to keep moisture out so the glass is thicker. Plus the bottom surface area isn’t as big as I would like it. ;-) I know exa...
