How big is the snail and does it eat your plants? I didnt have any plants in that tank. Those snails only get about 3/4 inch diameter, but they breed like crazy and eventually end up clogging up every intake on filters, powerheads whatever. It is quite annoying. Im not sure what they prefer to eat ...

strange alien underwater life

I just found this cool looking critter in my tank today. A couple weeks ago, I added some of that stringy moss looking stuff for the inverts to nibble on. Snail adaptability

Heres a pic of a wild caught snail i had in my tank a few years ago. Apparently his shell was crushed at some point, and rather than lay down and die, he made use of the new hole in his shell.
