thanks! i counted three times again today, got to 21. 21 little larvas bobbing around. only saw 2 of the previous 3 berried shrimps. im assuming the third is hiding. temp has been steady averaging 76 ~75/77 night/day.

thanks, im hoping too. i've yet to actually feed this tank, ive got a huge bloom of snail spawn also. the whole tank is covered in algae it seems and bunches of baby snails.

i live in the top floor of my house. in winter its warm, and in summer its almost too much. my tank was around 78/80 for a few weeks (no heater or anything, just how hot my room was) and we finally turned the ac on, and its down to 68/70 now. is that temperature change going to affect the shrimp? ma...

im on my way out the door for an interview for a new job, i stop and look at the tank like i do every time i leave the house, and BAM!! right there in front of my face is my first berried shrimp!!! along with a small gang of baby snails a bit farther off to the right. cant see them in the pictures b...

i found my first baby snail today!! i wonder how many others there are. in such a big tank i dont know if i'll truly ever know the exact population of anything

they do tear them apart varanus. ive even seen guppies tear shrimp apart and vice versa. had a gang of ghost shrimp tear apart a guppy.

those chocolate sprinkle looking things are snail poop. theyre giant little poop factories. in the second picture the green spots in the shell are the algae. and judging by the size of the snails, they will have it all cleaned up in no longer than a week.

ive got lots and lots, thats why i have been trying to figure out how long it takes to go from saddled to berried, but i think its got something to do with moulting.
