Re: Weird swarm?
Also I just noticed my berried shrimp lost about half her eggs. Could the copepods be bothering her to the point where she releases/"loses" some of her eggs? Her color doesn't seem as good either. I'm worried that the eggs might not hatch :( I guess I'll have to wait and see. Hopefully th...

Re: Food in my tank
Hi everyone. I have a six week old tank that is still technically cycling. I have 10 snails and one clump of macroalgea from Mustafa in there. No algea growth of my own tho, so I felt bad for the snails and put it in like 1/50th of a tiny spoon of spirulina powder. Well, even that proved too much a...

Re: Floating snail
You could take him out and put him in a glass with some brackish water. Hate to call DOA too soon, and this way he gets a chance to wake up without polluting your new tank. How are the shrimp settling in? If he's dead, won't the shrimp just eat him? Is he really polluting? I'll leave him in overnig...

He's still just floatingSuper Jess wrote: ↑Wed May 09, 2018 9:19 am Sometimes they hang upside down from the surface tension of the water and feed on the biofilm. If it's just floating, and not moving, I'd leave it for now and just wait and see. They're tough little critters.

Re: Flipper's Shrimp Journal
Hi Flipper, Thank you for your help in my posts. Your green rock looks really good, I wish I can have one inthe end and catch up with your progress. Do you know the perfect salinity for supershrimps? I keep mine at between 1.008-1.01. Mustafa said he will be adding my region soon, And I will post p...

Floating snail
Hi Friends,
One of my snails is floating... He didn't come out of the bag willingly, I had to (very gently) push him out. Anyways, he hasn't sunk yet. Do some snails float or is this one dead?

Re: Flipper's Shrimp Journal
They'll be great! Mine went from San Diego to Vermont and they were packed really well. Never knew what hit 'em :) Looking forward to the Wednesday pics. THEY'RE HERE!! How long should I let them float? I just cut a little hole in the bag and let in some water, then I let them out....My mom got the...

Re: New Tank Inquiry: Protruding Above Water
Haha. Well, I enjoy the look of them and they're safe for aquarium use so I'd like to leave them in. I was just making sure having them slightly above the water was okay. I couldn't think of any downside but I'm very new to this so I don't want to do anything wrong! Sorry if it's a silly question. ...

Re: New Tank Inquiry: Protruding Above Water
Salutations! Been lurking in the forum for a while and finally taking the plunge into cycling a tank myself. Just had a quick question about my setup. I have some leaves from a felt plant slightly rising above the waterline. Is there any negative repercussion to this? I want to ensure I don't jeapo...

Re: Lots of questions
Hi everyone!! SO, I introduced Mustafa's snails on Thursday and everything seems to be going fine. I can usually see like 3 snails at a time hanging out, they burrow and stick to my walls. ALSO, there is a snail that is inside Mustafa's macroalgea. Like, the little guy has been there for some days....
