Re: 1 white eye
I wonder if it's a molt thing too. I couldn't find any info on opaeula eyes turning white but I read it can happen to fresh water shrimp before a molt sometimes I know they're vastly different shrimp but hopefully it's something similar

Re: Black looking algae?
Not sure why I didn't think to do that in the first place lol
I can't tell if it's on other surfaces but I can see it on some of the calcium pebbles like this. It's only on a few of them

Re: Snail and algae questions
They stay pretty small. The algae growth won't be super obvious at first and it'll show up on any surface basically.

Re: Newbie with Two Tanks
Hmm maybe hair algae? As for the snails it's hard to tell if they're alive. I take them out to check them. They'll either pop out of the shell quickly annoyed a little or if nothing happens I give a little blow toward the hole and they'll move but sometimes it's just an empty shell and once I had de...

Black looking algae?
I see plenty of algae growing in my tank in a variety of colors some looks black? I was just wondering if there was any kind of algae that's not good to have in your tank? Everything seems to be going great

I've noticed that too. Even on juvenile shrimp and it doesn't change after a molt I just assumed it was just a shrimp equivalent of a birth mark lol

Re: Never ending saga of sad
So I'm pretty sure it was a body spray that was used in the master bathroom the smell was very strong near the shrimp and the next morning I moved a decor in the tank and a few streaks of something cloudy fell from the bio film. I now have a lid on it and think it's all stable and that should be it ...

Re: Never ending saga of sad
I decided to do nothing since the water change was so recent I figured it could be sick from the original issues then water change. Poor lithe fur ended up dying but everyone else is doing great and I have them covered now so we should be set now.

Re: Never ending saga of sad

Re: Never ending saga of sad

He looked off for the last 2 days I've been watching closing because I added the water back fast I think too fast for a water change desp...

Re: Never ending saga of sad
The one that died and the one that is dying are were both smaller juvenile likely the snaked in my tank. I don't have a hydrometer I just mix my water according to the site recommendations with distilled water.
