Question with Ghost shrimps in betta tank

Hey everyone!!

This is my 1st post, so please go easy on me

I have 5 ghost shrimp in my betta 5 gal tank. I have noticed that every so often, my betta tries to ward off the shrimp whenever they swin around.
Is this activity normal, or is it something which requires me to relocate the shrimp to another tank?

I'd appreciate any response.

I think they are both threats to one another and should be separated.

The trouble is with bettas is they are very territorial and love live food.
