male and female cherries

my female cherry dropped most of the eggs..so i guess they were not fertilised..however,as for the remaining few(around 6) the eggs are not yellow..its pale yellow...almost whitish..is there something wrong??its been 1 week since the cherry carried the eggs.

It isn't unusual for this to happen, esecially on yonger females. Any eggs that are still there after a week will likely hatch. I recently had a 1st time female end up with only 2, but both hatched.

Don't key in on egg color. This is really quite variable. Once they get a greenish tinge with little dots, then get excited.

and if im not wrong the greenish tinge happens after 3 wks or so??

Hi rtcc86,

Eggs normaly stay on the female for about 15 to 18 days.

15-18 days is for 78 degree water. 72 degree water can take close to a month.
