Who is breeding what?

Post by edinjapan »

Just out of curiosity who is keeping and breeding what.

I currently have the following

CRS A Grade
Othello Bee A Grade
RCS
Minami Numa Shrimp (wild form of RCS)
Mystery Crayfish

I'd like to know what other people are keeping/breeding.

It's a good thing I didn't add my fish or the list would have been too long.

Keeping/breeding ghost shrimp. I'm really enjoying it so I may try other types of shrimp later. I won't mention my fish because there are too many. I have multiple tank syndrome.

Ghost shrimp....Interesting are they a suppressed type of shrimp or are the larvae pelagic?

abbreviated larval development, breedable in freshwater. Look here:

And also search for it in the forum. There is some info about breeding them.

Yes, it's a little more difficult for the beginner to breed ghost shrimp as opposed to something like cherry shrimp. It's strictly for my enjoyment as well because I doubt anyone would buy them when they can get them for 26 cents at Wal-Mart.
