I just introduced my shrimps(cherry and indian drawf shrimps) in to my tank... they keep swiming around, and just cant settle down them self.. i check the PH its around 7.6.. what can i do now? i afraid they will die soon!
I've seen this behavior after water changes and if a female is ready to mate. It is likely they are just checking out the tank. I'll bet they will settle down after a day or so.
My RCS swam around all day when I first got them, and I was quite worried abou them, but by the next day they had completely settled down. I think it was just the stress of a new environment, so unless you see any on their side etc I wouldnt worry just yet

I agree with "shrimping" in most cases. It's usually a sign of stress (i.e. adverse water parameters), but when a female molts the males also swim around excitedly looking for her. This also happens sometimes after water changes as the new water has a different composition then the old water. These kinds of differences in water parameters can be avoided with regular aquarium maintenance (i.e. regular water changes, filter cleaning etc.).
