Im a newbie, and i desperately need some help.
I have about 8 glass shrimp, one is gravid. For the last week or so, they just dont eat. I know theyre hungry because theyre always plucking up stuff, but it seems that they dont like it. I used to feed them some algae wafer and some flake food, but now they ignore the flake food and only nibble at the wafer. I got veg sticks, brine shrimp sticks, spirulina sticks, and they dont eat ANY of it!!
Needless to say, im getting frustrated, and i certainly dont want them to die, PLEASE help!!
Help!! My shrimp wont eat!

Stop feeding them. They can go well over a week with nothing. Next check your water parameters. If you've been overfeeding your nitrates & phosphates may be elevated. Do 20% water changes daily for the next week, then start feeding again sparingly.

My shrimp does the same thing, except he's a full grown prawn. It use to eat everything i throw in the tank, now he only feeds on algae wafers (up to 5 a day), and picks at pieces of gravel for algae i guess. But he's doing well, just a preference I guess. Or maybe they're ready to molt... I don't know about ghost shrimps but mine stops eating for up to a week before molting.
