Black hair algae colouring shrimp?

Post by Shrimp&Snails »

I had some hair algae on the tips of a tall plastic plant which is almost all gone due to my shrimp eating it and me reducing the amount of light.

However a couple of my shrimp look blue now. :?

Is this how blue neocaridina get their colouration?

What parts of your shrimp look blue now? Internal organs like the stomach? Parts of the shell? The whole shell? Just extremeties?

The blue colouring is more prominent in my tiger female....she spent a lot of time graizing on the algae because i'm only feeding the tank once or twice a week because I have shrimplets in there. The blue is over her back, saddle and towards her head. She's carrying eggs again and seems fine. Her tail and head are still orange.

I'll try to get a pic later.
