I just googled it and what came up was Neocaridina denticulata sinensis, otherwise Neocaridina Blue. They are found in Taiwan, China and Vietnam. You can read about it in the shrimp varieties page. If you find something different let us know.

Doing a search on this site for blue shrimp using the search function would probably help find what you're looking for too.

You are being too specific in your search. Next time just search for blue shrimp, or just blue, that sort of thing. The search feature isn't all that good. To avoid getting sniped at, just say that you searched using so& so and came up empty.

Yeah badflash is right.

Keep it simple and you'll find what you're looking for.

I kept some blue shrimp and they all died within a week....I won't be buying them again.

It died in a week? Wow. I guess I wont be getting them as well since I read that there are no naturally blue shrimps anymore (I think i read it from the species description). I want to try to avoid artifical things in my tank =).

I thought the same way as you but when I saw them in my lfs I thought I would give them a try. They were labelled as blue babaultis and they had a tank of red babaultis but they looked a bit blue too. :?

The "blues" varied in colour from this

Do you think the shrimp died because they are more sensitive or because they were stressed from shipment and store conditions?
