Need help to identify

Post by gabs »

Bought these shrimps which were selling under the name of Neocaridina sp. Black-white.

Looked more like caridina sp. to me so i decided to buy 6 and add them in my CRS tank. The colours are very pale. I tried to identify the shrimp from the shrimp varieties page. Are these shimps bee shrimps or bumblebee shrimps?

Hi gabs, like you said the colors are very pale but you can still make out the striped body pattern. I would say it is a bee shrimp. Has the color remained the same since you got them and how long has this been?

It's not a bee, it's one of the many "bumblebee" variations out there. The one in the background is obviously a crystal red, though.

Thanks Neonshrimp and Mustafa.
I'll post some more pictures soon maybe the colours and patterns will become more obvious.
I have had the shrimps for 3 days where one of the 6 shrimps died the day after. The other seem to be doing very well.
