Why are cherry shrimp so tame?

Back when I worked at an lfs we had a tank full of SW cleaner shimp. They would come running when ever we put our hands in the tank and pull off dead skin and clean around the cuticles. Better than a manicure.

This business of being 40 sort of has slowed me down somewhat...
