Neoshrimp

This was her third time carring eggs. The first batch of young , just dissappeared

.

My guess was that I was not feeding the adults enough.
That has changed.

I will try to get some photo's of the Orange Ones.

More eggs, sweet..

I take it the first ones have grown a bit? Other than the size, do the orange ones look much different than the rest?
My new trio are only 1", the male just a bit smaller than the females. Any idea what size they are sexually mature? I read somewhere they will breed at 4 months, but growth rate may be variable, depending on available food, temp, etc.
Are they growing like little crusty weeds?

My Female carried her first eggs at 6 months.

The orange one's, look the same as the others.

They just seem to grow slower.

I don't understand; if they look the same, how can you tell they are orange fry? Differences in size are common among any litter of just about any type of critter.
I was wondering if the fry showed any color, or are colorless like shrimp fry when small.

My Female carried her first eggs at 6 months.

How big was she at 6 months? (I'm wondering how long before mine will start spawning.)

Looking forward to baby crayfish, the first tiny cherry shrimp were great to see

They are Orange, they stick out , the others are just transparent.

The female was just over 1 inch, when she started carring eggs.

Thanks, now I'll know what to look for. Your pic's are great, but I didn't see a clear difference in the color of the fry. They do look quite similar to baby shrimp, but I doubt they are as graceful. The shrimp just glide smoothly through the water, while the crayfish climb or swim in short spurts.

Just a Update

Finally, after all of my Failures.

I counted 7 Little Crayfish.

And 1 of my Females is carring eggs again

I'm watching my pregnant crays slowly lose eggs, but both of them are still carrying, so I've got faith that I'll have some babies soon.

Ah, the sweet feeling of success

How big/old are the young 'uns?
Is that an orange on top of the rock?

I'm still waiting to see eggs on my females, but the one who was missing a claw when she arrived now has a matching pair. At least that's a good sign.

I was a bit surprised at how quickly it grew back. I wasn't sure whether she would be a "lefty" until she molted.

The First picture,
the Crayfish in front of the clay pot, is the orangish one.

This female lost both of her claws, Both times she mated in my tank.
And she just grew them back.
They are alot smaller, than they were when I first got her.

She looked pretty funny, walking around with no claws.

The Little Crayfish Average about 1/4 inch.

For the Age, I did not keep a record of when they hatched.
I had a hard enough time, finding her in the tank. I may have seen her every 3 or 4 days.
