I was fortunate to find 3 cherry shrimp at the LFS yesterday to add to my shrimpless 10gal, but I'm wondering if they spend all day hiding, tucked under rocks and come out to feed at night? ...or if my (too)curious guppies are picking on them. Any info greatly appreciated because if this is indeed, not characteristic of their behaviour, I will move them into my 20 gal. asap. Thanks!
They might indeed be hiding from the guppies. The guppies should be losing interest after a while and then you will probably see the shrimp more. I personally prefer keeping shrimp without any fish. They act *much* more naturally that way and don't hide all the time.
