Baby snails?

I always assumed that they were baby snails, but I want to confirm with you guys.

Are they ramshorns? When they get big enough, watching them eat reminds me of my ramshorns.
The second picture is my bad attempt to take a picture thought the eyehole of a handheld 30x microscope.

Looking at the full-sized picture you can sort of see the mouth.

By the way, here's an interesting shot of two floating ramshorns

They're freshwater limpets. They stay small (4-5mm) and seem to do a pretty good job keeping the glass clean.

I have those limpets too. Sometimes I see my dwarf crays eating them. You can also squish them against the glass to provide some fresh food for shrimp.

I certainly don't see any easy way to get rid of them though. . . .

They don't seem to harm anything. Ijust leave mine alone. They seem to come & go.

Thanks everyone! I've read about limpets on these forums before, but never knew what they looked like.

No need to crush these guys, I have enough ramshorns for that. Besides the sides of the tank look cleaner with them around.
