Tiger Shrimp, What is the difference

Post by Newjohn »

I have noticed from different Web-sites and Auctions that there are Tigers with Black Stripes, Reddish Brown Stripes, and some have Orange coloration on there Head & Tail while other are missing the Orange.

I was wondering if these are just from different collection sites or could these be sub-species ?

Sorry
I should have said Reddis Brown.

I know 1 Hobbyiest that has the Reddish Brown Stripes and Black stripes all in the same tank and they are very healthy and the colors range from young shrimp to adults.

I'd imagine they're just diffferent color morphs of a single species. After all, cherry and snowball shrimp were selectively bred from variable-colored stock.
