I am ecstatic to have found this site. I need some advice. I have a small ecosphere with about 15 shrimp. How do i break it? What should i do? I don't want to torture these poor shrimp. :-) :-) :-)

If you still need to break the glass, a sharp tap from a hammer or something hard-heavy would work. Just be sure not to swing at it, but rather tap it firmly enough to break it without smashing your shrimp with the hammer.

And make sure you have a brackish water tank with a specific gravity of about 1.012-14 ready and cycled when you decide to do all that.

It's not a saltwater shrimp..it's a brackish water shrimp. It's on my shrimp variaties page:

They can actually "live" in full strength saltwater but they stop eating (and start shrinking) and lose coloration and just feel miserable over all. At some point they will die just like in those little torturespheres.
