I have seen very little information on these shrimp, often what I have seen is conflicting. I do not see them in the FAQ.
Perhaps someone here has kept Purple Zebra Shrimp? I was wondering if, as the above source claims, they are indeed Neocaridina sp, that they therefore will not interbreed with RCS, and whether offspring require salt or brackish water to survive (different sources have opposite opinions on this). Furthermore I have also seen conflicting accounts as to whether they prefer/require harder water.
Purple zebra shrimp?

The one thing I can say for sure.
Is they are not a Neocaridina species
The ones I purchased did not last over 2 months in my tanks.
I have not heard of any offspring being produced as of yet.
I have seen pictures of larva.
But never anything further after that.

Sorry. Removed the link. Didn't think it would be a problem as I wasn't trying to sell anything. But I suppose it is a "commercial website" so I've corrected that.
As indicated in the OP I have searched but have found information rare/limited and conflicting. Do a search yourself and you'll see all the conflicting information out there on the points raised in the OP re keeping & breeding.
