OH MY GOD! my first ever baby shrimp i needed a magnafying glass lol i noticed it swimming and it went on the frount of the glass problem is that it could either be a green shrimp cherry or bee shrimp i dont care tho its still a baby!
hehe indeed it is i think it is a green shrimp (counted 3 so far) because i have only seen green shrimp with eggs although if it was a cherry or bee they could of hid but i will find out soon enough
Very nice. I've had great luck with my green shrimp so far. They turned out to be really prolific breeders(although the babes don't grow as fast as red cherries and the like). I just moved a bunch to another tank because my original tanks is now packed.
I really like the green shrimp. They're a very attractive, hardy species(once you get your sick imports to breed for you, that is). I'm surprised that more people don't seem to have them.

How long did it take for your imports to breed?
I bought from three different sources. The first two were importers, and I lost 1/2 to 2/3 of each batch. It took about two weeks for the really sick ones to die and the remaining ones to recover. After that my females all began carrying. It was pretty interesting to see about 10-12 ovigerous females at one time.
I've had my originals around 6-9 months now and they're starting to slowly die off now. My water parameters are fine and the offspring are doing great, so I think it's just "that time" for my originals. I have no doubt that they were very weakened from all of the shipping/bad conditions they went through. Plus, who knows how old they were when I received them?

Thanks for the information, I guess your experience is typical of imported shrimp.
