Is aluminum dangerous to shrimp?

I'm looking into Phosphate/Silicate removers and I'm looking at either Ferrous Oxide Phosphate Removers (Two Little Fishies PhosBan, ROWAphos, Hagen Fluval Lab Series Phosphate Remover, Warner Marine Research ReefPure PHOSaR HC , Dr. Foster & Smith PhosPure, & Magnavore Pura Phoslock) or Aluminum Oxide Phosphate Removers (Seachem's PhosGuard, API's Phos-Zorb, & Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge).

Ferrous Oxide Phosphate Removers seem to be delicate that it could crush into finer material, almost powder form, which could clog a filter. Aluminum Oxide Phosphate Removers are supposed to release minute traces of aluminum into tanks.

I am considering of using Aluminum Oxide Phosphate Removers. So I was wondering if any amount of aluminum is dangerous to shrimp.

I have RCS and Amano shrimps in the tank.

Rapidly growning plants are the best phosphate and nitrate remover. Diatoms are great silicate removers. What are your readings?

What is the source of the contamination? If your tap water is good, do more water changes. Be sure to use a good water conditoner.

Both my low tech planted tanks have shrimps. It's just I'm seeing a minute case of hair algae on some leaves. From what I understand, this could be due to excessive silicates.
