Help with shrimp ID please?

Post by Mystery »

This guy arrived with my yellows. It looks like a cherry but I want to be 100% sure before putting it in with the cherries. Any help appreciated :)

Thanks! I though so but I wanted to be sure as i have adult female cherries in my cherry tank.

Any tips about how to catch a specific shrimp from a planted tank. I have tried and can't get him! No huge hurry as all my yellows are still juveniles but he darts into the plants and then tries to jump out of the water! he looks nice and red so I want to keep him :)

You could try using a plastic bottle with the top cut off and inverted with some food inside to entice them in. I use empty water bottles for this. Or the next time you feed watch for the RCS to come out to eat and catch it then.
