can you please help me identify this shrimp

can you please help me identify this shrimp

I bought five of these guys at lps. They had them listed as amano shrimp but I don't think so, a couple of them have a white strip all along their backs which I can take photos of if need be. Thanks Guys!

nevermind, I believe they are rainbow shrimp

"Rainbow shrimp" is not an actual species. It's just a name that exporters use if they can't identify variably colored shrimp species. Several species are exported as "rainbow shrimp." The shrimp you have is an indian type of Caridina sp., as of current undescribed and/or unidentified as far as I know. It's been around on import lists under various names for many years. It produces benthic young (no free floating larval stages). The one in your pictures is a female. The males are more transparent grey with faint stripes on some individuals.
