Red Cherry Shrimp Inactive

I bought 4 red cherry shrimp yesterday to put in my 6.5 gallon tank with my 7 baby zebra danio. They were brilliant when i first put them in, however the next day they were barely moving, and they havent done so all day. Sometimes they find it difficult to stay upright. Is this something to do with nitrates? the tank is fairly new, i've had it about a month but there's only 7 1cm baby zebra danio so there's only a small bio load, with a filter that's been going for a month which i have washed one of the sponges once to allow bacteria to grow. I also have 1 cabomba and 1 moss ball in the tank. It has a pH of 6.5 but i dont have a full test kit. The zebra danio are doing fine, but they are hardy fish. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
