Hi everyone, I just joined this forum as it seems to be the largest on the net pertaining to shrimp. Anyways, I now live and work in South Korea and want to set up a planted shrimp aquarium. I have 10+ years of experience with freshwater planted tanks as well as salted reefs but this is my first time with a planted freshwater shrimp tank. I bought a fully set up aquarium from a buddy (I'm guessing maybe around 8 gallons or so) and have had it cycling for about a month now with just some guppys and a lonely zebra danio. I'm not interested in having any fish in there, maybe just a few neon tetras to spice it up lol. Anyways, my problem is that I live in Korea and don't have access to any pet shops in my town that have anything other than goldfish and guppys. I plan to head to Seoul in a few weeks (2 hour bus ride) and check out the aquarium stores up there but I don't know what to expect on their selections of moss and shrimp. If that fails, then what are my options for purchasing shrimp and plants online? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, not just on purchasing but also on setting up the tank. If anyone else on this forum lives in Korea and has advice I would GREATLY appreciate that too! This looks like a great forum and I hope to learn a lot about shrimp tanks!
Thanks!

Re: How to purchase shrimp internationally?
Hi barkingfrog, and welcome to the forum! I usually do not allow postings that are commecial of nature in the forum section of this website (like selling shrimp, looking for shrimp etc...it distracts from actually discussing shrimp), but your case is a special one. You seem to have genuine difficulties finding shrimp in Korea. I don't know if you know Korean at all, but I'm pretty sure there are some online stores in Korea that sell shrimp. A few searches on google may bring some results, possibly even searches in English with the right keywords. If someone else in the forum knows about any specific websites, please use the private message function to forward any links to barkingfrog.
