Deep blue Aegla

Post by Mustafa »

Hi folks,

Just thought I'd share the video of a deep blue, wild Aegla (the uploader of the video says it's Aegla neuquensis):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdvB0c_CC7Q

As the caption to the video already says, this specimen is not representitive for the species, but, rather, a very rare mutation. Bummer...I should have been there. That "very rare mutation" would be in one of my tanks now helping establish a deep blue Aegla neuquensis line. :-D

Thanks for the Link.
It almost looks like the BLUE was painted on.

That Aegla should be in someones tank.
With that coloration, you would think that a predator would have had him for lunch.
