Buy or Importin Shrimp In To Australia

Some1 told me that u can't buy or import shrimp in to Australia & Im QLD does any1 know how true this is or if it has changed or if it's just certain types ?

The only people who can tell you for sure are the local authorities. Australia has some very strict regulations when it comes to importing or exporting live animals, some of the strictest in the world.

That's right it is illegal to import shrimp into Australia as they carry bacteria which can wipe out the ones already here We have nice native shrimp you can get here. And the price for illegal ones are ridiculous .

I wanted some Supershrimp also know as Halocaridina rubra or Opae ula but I don't think u can get them in Australia or they be very hard 2 find in Australia.
