Red cherryes - live outside the water

Post by patter »

Hello all,
I heard that red cherries from time to time leave the water (aquarium). Is this possible ? Should I make them something like "island" ?

No, what you heard is not accurate. They will die if they are outside the water for a prolonged period of time. Shrimp only try to leave the tank if the water conditions are not appropriate and once they leave, they die shortly after (they dry out).

agreed. the clear portion on the bottom right is reflection on glass. also the plant in the background is bouyant. it would look crushed or flat if it were out of water.
