are metal ties on plants ok in shrimp tank?

Hey guys I got my plants today. I was wondering if you knew whether the metal ties on the bottom of the plants are safe to use in a cherry shrimp tank?

Absolutely not because it will rust. It would also eventually leech chemicals into your tank that would be toxic to most fish and definitely shrimp.
