I've gotten Zebra Thorn Nerite snails to add to my Hawaiian red shrimp tank. The seller hosts them in freshwater so i have to acclimate them to my brackish tank. Right now I've just got them in the water they came in, in a new container. After about a day i added half a cup of my water to theirs. I was going to do this twice a day for a few days or until the container is full.
Does this sound like a good plan/ speed? If anyone has any suggestions, they would be welcome. Also, do i need to put any of the algae in their water, or are they fine for a week+ without food?
