Brown film on water surface

Post by Harry »

I've noticed a brown film at the top of my tank - the water surface. I was able to skim some of it off with a net, but can't get it all. Any tips or tricks that might help with that?

Harry once I stopped using a bubbler a film formed. I have done the same as you and used a net to remove it, at least partially. I do not believe it is an issue.

I have experimented and found that by placing a paper towel on the surface of the water and removing it, it takes just about all the film. Easier than using the net and more effective. The film seems to elude the net.
