Bamboo Shrimp success?

Post by Boundava »

:?: I have a bamboo with a clutch of eggs and I have read that they have never been successfully grown in captivity but many have tried to replicate using Amano shrimp techniques. I was wondering if anyone has tried to get bamboo shrimp's eggs to hatch and what methods they have used with or without success? Links to sites are useful, but I have searched and not been able to find anything to help me. I have kept freshwater tanks, never brackish or saltwater so that area is new to me as well.

Thanks in advance for any help with this. I would love to be able to help my bamboo's eggs to hatch into actual shrimp.

if Memory serves a breeder from Germany this year successfully bred them. I believe there was a post here this summer. If I find it I will reference it. However there weren't any instructions for one to follow.

I do not know how to reference it but search this:

Atya gabonensis Breeding report from October 2013.
