What size of tank is good for breeding red cherry shrimp?

Post by Ihaveshrimp »

Does anybody know what size of tank is good for breeding red cherry shrimp? How many shrimp per gallon should there be? And what kinds of plants do baby red cherry shrimp and adults really like? Thanks!

These questions have been answered in the Articles. 10 gallon good start. 10-30 shrimp is a good start for ten gallon. If you are successful these will turn into hundreds. Mosses are good.

There is no "per gallon" number. As long as the shrimp look like they're doing ok, you can let them reproduce. They'll control their own numbers over time anyway as they compete for food and space.
