Strange poop?

My Opae have strange red 'tails' coming off their tails. I only noticed this morning. I have about 20 or so shrimp in this particular tank, and many have this weird thing in various lengths. Is it poop? It's red ?!?

That's poop for sure! I'm curious-do you feed them? Mine never poop that much! Mine poop tiny little pellets.

They eat the algae in the tank, however my 8 y/o stepdaughter found the spirulina vial, and fed some. They ate it all up pretty fast. They swarmed the top of the tank ( she loved it )...... too much food probably
