Is my shrimp pushing out her eggs?
I have a few berried shrimp, but I haven't seen larvae or babies yet.
I saw another ghost shrimp yesterday. Today I happened to catch some video. Did I catch her moving her eggs outside of her body?
I have tried dragging and dropping the video, but it says I have a bad extension and won't let me do it. 6-2-18.mp4
I also cannot e-mail it. Too big.
I can watch it on my phone, and I've put it on my computer.
Suggestions, please.

Re: Is my shrimp pushing out her eggs?
I don't know all the proper terminology here, but no, I don't think she's pushing her eggs out. The females use their back swimerettes(??) to fan and move the eggs around occasionally to circulate oxygen around them and some other reason I can't recall. They may lose a few along the way, but they don't intentionally push their eggs out. Although, sometimes, it looks like they are just hanging on by a thread and could fall off at the slightest twitch and yet, they don't.

[attachment=0]20180602_165907.jpg]Thanks SuperProofer. I wish I could attach the video. When I couldn't upload it to this site, I finally thought to take some stills. What you say makes sense, but it sure looked like some were in a sack, and others outside of it. She'd kick like crazy, then rest a bit, and then do it again and again. A lot looked outside before I even thought to take some stills. Of course you explained the kicking, but the view was interesting. I was hoping I was seeing something extra special!

Here's a pic from the video.

Well from that last photo you can be sure that you'll be seeing larva soon, just a few days at most now. And if some of the eggs did drop a couple days before this photo there's high chances those were mature enough to turn into larva on their own too. I believe the females will get better at it over time so no worries.

Always more questions.
About a dozen larvae and mama shrimps still have some eggs (one is newly berried). They've been bobbing since the first ones were seen on 6/2. How long before they actually start swimming?

Mine bobbed for about 3 weeks. Typically I think it's around 2 weeks.

I am enjoying seeing the floating larvae. Do I have to be concerned about the opae eating the larvae? I also have a 1" nerite snail. Is he (?) also a risk?
I haven't seen anything about this, so I'm guessing no to both. If I should be doing anything though, please let me know. Thanks.

Don't need to worry about either.
The larvae will be fine and will hover towards the brightest source of light.
