How many shrimp to add to a cycled tank with heavy algae growth

I have several tanks that I have been cycling for 10 weeks in preparation for shrimp. I bought snails and algae from Mustafa to help the cycling. I am now ready to place my shrimp order and have to pick out a number for each tank. My smallest tank is a bit over 1/2 gallon and my largest is 2.5. My 3/4 gallon tank is growing algae like crazy...it's on the lava, sides of the tank, shells, etc. Are there any cautions or recommendations on how many shrimp to add to such a food rich environment. My other tanks look ready to go as I see the snails eating but they are not covered in visible algae. I see so many different recommendations on how many shrimp to put in per gallon in the forum. Is there a true "ideal" number per gallon or can they truly be healthy and happy with a big range. I'm totally fine to have off spring and have friends that have expressed interest in having a tank. From what I recall, some 50 per gallon, if you build up. So you can start with 10 per gallon. You don't want to max out stocking, beneficial bacteria will need to build up to the number of shrimp, and you will want room for babies.

Yes, don't add too many at once. You can start with 10-25 and let them fill out your tanks after a while.
