Berried female eating her eggs

I have a 5 liter jar with 10 shrimp. I noticed that one of my berried females was eating her own eggs! Anyone else observe this?

Was she taking them off her body and eating them? If not then its more likely she or another female dropped the eggs and then simply ate them since dropped eggs won't hatch anyway.

Or she was just cleaning them if the eggs were still attached to her body. I have never seen any type of algae eating shrimp eat eggs.
