Hi guys,
I couldn't figure out how to post in the crayfish forum on this site since I'm new to it, but anyways I have a colony of marbled crayfish (Procambarus virginalis - the parthenogenetic kind) and noticed (about a week ago) that one of the largest, sexually mature females has a brown spot (with a white center) on top of its head between its eyes. Is this a contagious/lethal disease I should be worried about? I've had the crayfish colony for a couple years now and this is the first time I've seen it on a crayfish. It doesn't seem to be getting bigger or smaller with time. See pics below, thanks!

Very strange. It looks like a bacterial infection to me. Might want to dose some medication to be on the safe side. A good place to start would be a sulfa drug.

It might disappear when the cray molts.
