Fish? + babies?

Post by MrHyer »

Hey guys,

Couple of weeks ago my girlfriend wanted to get some fishes for our tank, our cherry shrimp were not breeding so we went to the store and ask which one would be suitable to have with the shrimp.

They sold one 3 of these fish. (Picture attached) - I dont know the name.

So far we havent had any issues fish & shrimp or viceversa but last night I noticed one of the shrimp is now carrying eggs.

Would the fish be a threat to the shrimplets? Do I need to separate them? Its my first time dealing with something like this so im not sure what to do.

Thanks for your help.

Those are Celestial Pearl Danios. Very nice fish but yes, they would readily eat shrimplets. If the fish were kept well fed and the shrimplets had adequate places to hide in, some could survive.
