I received my snails today. From time to time I see one or more climbing the walls, so I know they're alive and kicking, so to speak.
I named them all Shelly.
They're teeny. How big will they grow in a 1-gallon jar?
The main website says that a tank is ready for shrimp when you see the first signs of green or brown algae. I suspect that I have at least another month before my tank cycles, so I'm not trying to rush things... But will the algae be on the glass? On the rocks? Will it be obvious?

They stay pretty small. The algae growth won't be super obvious at first and it'll show up on any surface basically.
