Fire glass

Post by dherrington1 »

I want to liven up my tank after I move with some color. I thought about lava rocks, but then came across the glass that is used in those smaller fire pits for color. I would think that glass wouldn't be harmful since the aquarium is glass, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences using this type of glass? I'm leaning towards the bright blue colored or maybe some more black to add a mound to my black gravel. Not painted glass, but the color infused type of glass.

Thanks!!

Anything that's glass (and only glass as opposed to some chemicals on it...or metal in it) should be ok. Glass is usually pretty inert.
