Marvel Rivals Developers Aware of Disconnection Issue, Fix Imminent

A Marvel Rivals player shared a response from the NetEase Games team confirming that the developers are aware of a disconnection issue affecting gameplay and are working on a fix. Since the game’s release on December 6, like many newly launched titles, Marvel Rivals has encountered a few bugs, with the team already addressing the issue through an upcoming hotfix.

Marvel Rivals, a 6v6 PvP hero shooter, debuted with a strong lineup of iconic superheroes from the Marvel universe, including Spider-Man, Punisher, Scarlet Witch, and Magneto. A screenshot shared on Reddit by user uashx showed a conversation with community manager James Ng, who confirmed that the team had identified the cause of the disconnection bug and was working on a hotfix. The issue occurs when players get stuck at the loading screen while queuing for a match, resulting in a penalty as a "leaver" even if they never entered the game. This issue follows a similar problem that occurred during the game's closed beta in July, where players experienced problems with Marvel Rivals Twitch Drops.

Despite the disconnection problem, the game’s early reception has been positive, with most players enjoying the opportunity to battle as their favorite superheroes. The developers have more content planned, including new leaks suggesting that The Thing from the Fantastic Four could be added soon, potentially as a Vanguard character. This is just one of the many exciting updates players can look forward to in the future.
