Hi, I am new to this board and to cherry red shrimp keeping. I recently purchased some beautiful shrimps. I read the articles on this site prior to their arrival, and moved all fish out of their 30 gallon tank, leaving only the bristle noses and Pomacea bridgesii snails.
Most of the time the shrimp seem quite shy, but they show themselves each time I feed. When feeding a couple of days ago, I noticed one of my females has some nice orange eggs on her swimettes. She is beautifully colored, and stands out from the rest.
It is most interesting when the shrimp hitch a ride on the snails! There are about 24 shrimp in my 30 gallon tank, and I am looking forward to the babies. In searching "cherry red shrimp incubation" I didn't find what I was looking for, the time it takes to hatch?
The tank is well planted with various stem plants, Amazon and other swords, Red and green Crypt, java moss, java fern, marimo balls, water lettuce, duckweed, and dwarf sags. I would like to be successful at keeping these shrimp, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Update on the shrimp carrying eggs!
Her eggs were gone this morning, so I was thinking oh well, maybe next time. But on closer inspection, there are some very small shrimpies in the tank! I've only seen a couple, but read that they are good hiders. There are no predators in the tank so hopefully they will grow up nice and fat like the mom!
