They definitely did not hatch if the females had been carrying them only for 5 days. The females just dropped them for one reason or another. And yes, you could have all females. Yesterday I saw a bunch of Red Cherries (maybe 50-60?) in a tank at a pet store and they were *ALL* female. Not only that, the store had mixed in some wild colored Neocaridina denticulata sinensis (same species as Red Cherries) and were selling them as "blue shrimp." Those guys did have males and it's just a matter of time when those start mating with the Red Cherry females.

I have 5 Harlequin Rasbora in the same tank. Could it be the cherries felt threaten by the fish and decided to drop all the eggs?
Also, I did a close examimation on all my cherries yesterday. they are either really red or they have the yellow spot right behind the head. So Mustafa, I think you might be right. I have all female. This sucks, I live in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Is hard eough to find Cherries here, now I need to loacate a male cherry. Any suggestions?
