Interbreeding?

Will Cherry Shrimp interbreed with Tiger Shrimp? I read both the articles on both species, it seems Tiger Shrimp breed readily with a lot of other shrimp. So I want to make sure before mixing them in my tank.

Hi Raul-7, no, as far as I know, the Neocaridina species will not interbreed with the Caridina species.

Cherry shrimp=Neocaridina denticulata sinensis (variety red)

Tiger shrimp=Caridina sp. "Tiger"
