I have one shrimp that looks a lot like that one. I agree with Veneer that it is a species of Macrobrachium. He came in a shipment of "Ghost" shrimp. would also like a positive i.d. He has been segregated since I realized he was different. With those claws he definatley looks like he could be a hazzard.,but I luv him anyway
IMO it's an M. assamense. Check out the "rings" on the pincers. The German name of these shrimp (Ringelhand-Garnele) comes from these rings. Take a look at the pictures here http://www.wirbellose.de/arten.cgi?acti ... &artNo=026 and compare.

Are you asking for identification of your shrimp? IMO at least the one on the first pic is an M. assamense. Pics aren't too good for indentification actually, too much depends on light and the colours of the surroundings.
