Brackish shrimp?

Post by demented_lullaby »

Heya guys.

I was wondering, are there any shrimp that live in brackish water or can be acclimated to BW and thrive(not just survive)? I tried searching brackish but didn't come up with anything. There's a few threads that come up but nothing specifically on the matter.

Thank you :)

Halocaridina rubra aka Hawaiian red shrimp can live in any range from freshwater to full seawater. Some others may be possibilities check the shrimp varieties page.

glass shrimp need hard water. depends on how much salt you have in the brackish tank. amano shirmp's young need salt water, you might beable to accumulate the adults into brackish water.
